PATTERNS IN ELECTRIFICATION PROJECTS; AN ANALYSIS OF AID"S AUTOMATED DATA

Evaluation studies are available for six projects. Findings show Asia and Latin America Bureaus most active. While Latin America Bureau finances almost as many projects as Asia Bureau, size is half as great. New project development moving fastest in Asia. Africa Bureau inactive regarding rural electrification. Regional bureaus including Africa, Asia, Latin America, Near East are summarized in terms of financial and chronological information. Figures and summary data tables appear in the report body while detailed data tables at the project level are presented in the appendix. These cover project size and status, start date, planned obligation or actual expenditures, problem addresses, goal, purpose, additional components if integrated project.
