Pest management capability

Department of Agriculture pest management specialist. The services provided by the specialist will permit A.I.D. to respond effectively to LDC requests for assistance in integrated pest management. The specialist will: (1) assist in formulating policies and programs relating to LDC plant protection problems; (2) design, arrange for review, and monitor specific projects for implementation by FCPD; (3) advise A.I.D. Offices, Bureaus, and Missions on matters relating to plant protection; (4) review or evaluate planned or ongoing projects relating to or containing components in plant protection; (5) represent A.I.D. before other agencies; (6) collaborate with the Pest Management and Related Environmental Project to organize training programs and seminars in the United States and LDC"s; and (7) prepare publications on selected aspects of integrated pest and disease control.
