Abstract
conducted a series of workshops and meetings to identify and prioritize initiatives for the management of alliances. The analysis of the nine initiatives developed by the C&G program led to the construction of the Modelo Integrado de Cadena de Valor (MICV) as a proposed integrated strategy for the presentation of these initiatives to potential allies. The MICV integrates four initiatives: systems closed production, incentives for conservation, the model of chain of value, and the pilot of traceability and transparency in the supply chain of dairy products. This integrated approach allows for the presentation of a complete and robust system that showcases the achievements and learnings of each initiative individually and collectively. The second prioritized initiative was the Pago por Servicios Ambientales (PSA), which was considered due to the existence of budget allocated for this purpose, legal backing, and the experience of the Programa Conservación & Gobernanza in implementing similar projects. The identification of potential actors to present the initiatives to was a challenging task, as the actors identified were the same ones with whom the Programa C&G had already established alliances and received resources in the past. The team of Bitácora & Territorio decided to advance on several fronts: to strengthen the presentation of the initiatives through the analysis of some tax incentives for the private sector, to conduct a mapping of actors of interest from the private sector that could demonstrate interest in adopting or sponsoring one or several initiatives, and to approach local authorities and national government entities that, by mandate or interest, could be potential allies for the implementation of the initiatives. The implementation of the alliances is understood as the execution of two of the four phases of the methodology for the construction of alliances designed by Bitácora & Territorio, with the remaining two phases being the responsibility of the Programa C&G. The present report includes a synthesis of the process of prioritization of the initiatives of the Programa C&G, which resulted in the construction of the MICV as a proposed integrated strategy for the presentation of these initiatives to potential allies.
