Abstract
The report briefly reviews these problems and discusses the systems approach to dealing with them, including a review of model-building efforts. The global model of the Nigerian agricultural economy with its regional and sectoral submodels, is described briefly. Part2 describes the components of the southern model. Part3 looks at testing and validation procedures and results. Policy applications of the model, conclusions, and areas for further work are discussed in Part4.
