Abstract
There are many important and often complementary determinants of agricultural productivity. In this paper, we focus on fertilizer, without intending to imply that it is the only or most significant productivity determinants. Other key factors are seed technology, adequate water availability, labor, agronomic and other farmer management practices, and choice of crops to grow.
