PVO co-financing

PVO"s working in Nepal on subprojects (SP"s) which are complementary to USAID/N"s priority development areas - rural development and agriculture, health, population, and natural resource management. The project provides USAID/N with an umbrella mechanism under which a variety of worthwhile PVO SP"s can be funded. Each SP proposal will be evaluated by the Mission against basic criteria outlined in the project paper. The application and testing of innovative techniques by the PVO"s is seen as a source of information and experience about developmental assistance which may be transferred to other A.I.D.-financed projects in Nepal.
