Abstract
The project aimed to address the challenges faced by local governments in Ukraine, including the centralization of power and the lack of autonomy. Key achievements in the reporting period include the successful airing of a program on local government issues on Radio Era on January 13. The project also conducted a series of working meetings with various professional groups, including the Land resources Professional Group, the AUC Social Protection Professional Group, and the Ternopil Regional Advisory Board. These meetings focused on discussing technical area profiles and promoting local self-governance. The project also published several electronic publications, including the "AUC Herald" (Issue #70), the "Legislation News" electronic publication, and the "DIALOGUE Newsletter" electronic publication. These publications aimed to provide information and updates on local self-governance issues in Ukraine. In addition, the project conducted several working meetings with regional press clubs, including the National Press Club in Kyiv and the Volyn Regional Press Club in Lutsk. These meetings aimed to promote local self-governance and provide information on local government issues. The project also featured several programs on local government issues on the First National TV Channel УТ-1, including the "зМІСТОвна Україна" [city-minded Ukraine] program, which highlighted the city of Chernivtsi and its mayor, Mykola Fedoruk.
