Miller, James C. · 1970

Abstract
It is oriented toward the application of the regional development process to effect urban-rural integration and development in developing countries. Following an introductory statement on the problem of regional inequality and some of the "models" of regional development, the writer examines more fully three essential characteristics of the regional development process. In doing so he focuses on a number of better-known concepts, which then are traced through strategies for regional development in approaches in national and regional spatial organization in more than a dozen countries. Four conclusions are drawn at the end of the study.
