Abstract
By solving the problem sets provided, the user of the manual should acquire a better understanding of watershed resources management. Part I provides problem sets on: statistical methods and inferences, including probability theory, frequency distribution, graphical frequency analysis, analytical frequency analysis, and the effects of clearcutting on annual peak discharge; the water budget; rainfail-runoff analysis, including mean basin precipitation, loss rates, hydrograph derivation and reconstruction, and soil runoff estimation; soil erosion; reservoir management; modeling; remote sensing; and decisionmaking. Part II provides the solutions to the problem sets.
