Abstract
The geographic focus of the initiative was on Eastern Province, where the majority of Rwanda's population resides. The program's impact was evaluated through a combination of surveys, focus groups, and economic analysis. The results showed that the initiative had a positive impact on the livelihoods of smallholder farmers, particularly women, and contributed to improved food security in the region. The initiative's success can be attributed to the effective implementation of the three key interventions, which were tailored to the specific needs of the target communities. The program's focus on sustainable agriculture practices, infrastructure development, and market linkage facilitation helped to address the primary challenges identified in the initial assessments. The initiative's impact was sustained over time, with continued improvements in crop yields, household income, and food security indicators.
