PES covers the period 8/83-11/84 and consists of a facesheet attached to a special evaluation (XD-AAS-061-A). Action decisions are to: (1) complete the project and initiate follow-on activities; (2) provide additional funding for research studies and dissemination; (3) encourage changes in operational procedures in order to institutionalize the three major functions of banking, special credit, and agrarian reform and other transfer payments; (4) identify an institutional base for training and providing organizational support for the credit union local consultants; and (5) consider a comprehensive financial sector reform project.
