Abstract
In Farah Province, the Pusht-e Rod Youth Association held their monthly coordination meeting on June 8th, focusing on the football tournament in Pusht-e Rod District. The association also received support to produce anti-addiction factsheets, posters, and banners. A feasibility survey of three proposed projects in Pusht-e Rod District was completed during the week. The implementation status of projects in Bala Boluk District is as follows: the construction of four water dividers is ongoing, with stone masonry and installation of iron gates completed for two water dividers. Refurbishment of a one-story building Community Center in Kanisk Payeen is also underway, with excavation of the wall's foundation and PCC under foundation completed. Auto-mechanic, mobile repairing, embroidery, and tailoring vocational trainings in Bala Boluk Districts are ongoing. In Badghis Province, the Qadis Youth Association organized meetings with the Information and Culture Directorate, Counter Narcotics Directorate, and Provincial Hospital on June 4th and 5th to discuss the youth upcoming wrestling tournament in Qadis District. The Pusht-e Rod Youth Association held their monthly coordination meeting on June 8th. A feasibility survey of five proposed projects in Muqur District was completed during the week. In Herat Province, a three-day Project Management training was kicked off on June 10th for 20 Shindand CDCs members who will implement the carpet weaving vocational trainings. The Kushk Rabat-e Sangi District Governor met with 32 youth on June 5th, emphasizing the role and responsibilities of youth in promoting peace across the district. The governor also received support to produce Health and Education factsheets, encouraging parents to support school attendance. A weekly coordination meeting with the Herat DRRD was held on June 9th. In Ghor Province, a Shahrak introductory DSC meeting was successfully held on June 5th with participation from 66 people, including line-departments' representatives, DDA members, community observers, and DRRD staff. The participants identified 9 sources of instability in the district and proposed mitigating activities. Coordination meetings were held with the Shahrak Acting District Governor and Youth Council on June 4th, and a meeting was held with the Ghor Deputy Governor and the Tribal Conflict Resolution Committee on June 9th. A sub-committee was established to resolve the existed conflict between two tribes in Chaghcharan.
