Abstract
PVOs to determine their potential as USAID partners and the types of environmental projects in which they are involved. Results of the survey are presented in this report. Survey results, presented in Part 1, indicate that most of the PVOs are currently working in one or more of the environmental health subsectors, mostly in water supply and sanitation and toxic and hazardous materials, with very few involved in integrated environmental health projects. The principal types of assistance provided by PVOs to these projects include training, TA, project implementation, and information dissemination. Areas in which the EHP project could assist PVOs are suggested. Part 2 of the report provides institutional profiles of 24 of the 57 organizations identified as potential partners. Includes bibliography.
