The purpose of this assessment is to provide USAID/Malawi with an analysis of opportunities and challenges related to REDD+ in order to make strategic programming decisions for incoming SL funding.

Abstract

The assessment examined national level priorities, capacity, and the role other donors are taking related to REDD+ readiness. Taking into account specific agency and mission priorities and existing USAID/Malawi programs, in addition to the specific country context, it identifies clear investment options for the mission and spells out potential climate change results.
