Abstract
Specific activities will include, inter alia: (1) infrastructural improvements, including land clearing and leveling, terracing, earth dams for stock watering and irrigation, access roads, and village extension and marketing facilities; (2) the provision of production inputs such as credit, fertilizer, and seeds to farmers to increase maize and wheat yields; (3) establishment in Highveld of a research and demonstration ranch for animal husbandry and range management technology, as well as for training RDA farmer leaders and Swazi staff; (4) introduction of rotational grazing systems; and (5) U.S. training for 15 Ministry of Agriculture staff.
