Abstract
In addition to the usual questions about illnesses in the two weeks prior to the survey and sources and content of care, parents were prompted about whether the child was examined during a "pharmacy" visit and whether the child was seen by a female Community Health Volunteer (FCHV). This analysis allows for a more complete examination of treatment behavior than was possible in the 2006 NDHS Final Report. This analysis also provides an examination of the content of care by type of provider. (Author abstract)
