USAID grant agreement no. 515-0241-G-00-2133-00 to the Center for Democracy to strengthen support systems of the Costa Rican legislature to facilitate more efficient processes for the development and passage of legislation

The subproject, to be implemented by the Center for Democracy, will provide TA, training, and commodities to help the Assembly: (1) institutionalize the legislative development process; (2) promote organizational and human resource development; (3) improve institutional linkages; and (4) improve administration and management. Related operational equipment will also be provided. USAID will also fund the researching, writing, and advancement of the Master Plan. If the Assembly succeeds in attracting multiple donors to implement the Master Plan, adjustment to the budget items and activities might be made to facilitate the multidonor concept.
