Grant to Agricultural Cooperative Development International (ACDI) to strengthen its capacity to provide TA to Missions and LDC"s in developing agricultural cooperatives and farm credit systems.

Abstract
The grant will fund 5 major ACDI activities: (1) consultation, evaluation, project identification, and policy guidance on cooperative and farm credit problems; (2) extended field consultation and drafting of project proposals; (3) project initiation, including recruitment of TA personnel and contract negotiation; (4) administrative services, including workshop/training program arrangement and budget preparation; and (5) ACDI member relations. ACDI is expected to develop 2-3 OPG"s or collaborative project proposals and 2-4 contract proposals per year; recruit 10-20 advisors per year; arrange U.S. on-the-job training programs for 5 individuals or groups in the first year, 10 in the second, and 15 in the third; arrange and conduct 1 overseas cooperative management workshop per year; and produce bimonthly newsletters, annual reports, and other publications.
