Abstract
This report presents the state of the art of stem cutting. The report documents factors that influence the rooting of stem cuttings, as well as the basic infrastructure needed, and the methods used with some commercially important timber species. It includes useful tips on how to perform stem cutting and what not to do. The report makes it clear that vegetative propagation technologies and methodologies are available, user friendly, and inexpensive for several species. Includes illustrations and a bibliography.
