Abstract
The paper is attached to a review of the entire PL 480 program in Lesotho (PD-AAG-877-A1). The projects are examined particularly in light of their food assistance components, supported by Catholic Relief Services (CRS). Each activity is examined individually, with accomplishments and shortcomings listed. Management of the food commodities and other factors affecting food assistance (e.g., recruitment of workers and impact on women) are discussed. A total of 34 recommendations are provided, covering each of the above-mentioned areas. It is the evaluators view that, provided these recommendations are implemented, WFP assistance to Lesotho should continue.
