Abstract
These initiatives include the Youth Without Borders mentoring program, which fosters the potential of youth, and the Community Café methodology, which generates dialogue in the community starting with teachers. The Youth Forum was also established in each country, with terms of reference written for its implementation in July of the same year. Achievements were also made during this period, with the concretion of three new alliances in support of the Community School – Getcom/One, Unicomer, and Convergys – as a result of a process of raising awareness, dialogue, and setting expectations and commitments, which began in mid-2015. A. Building Home Skills The three countries followed the process of identifying new schools for the implementation of the Community School, which includes conducting a diagnostic of potential schools, socializing the program with school authorities, evaluating the surrounding environment in terms of security, and ensuring the interest and commitment of the school and parents. With the schools identified, staff recruited and hired school coordinators, procured materials for the clubs, adapted spaces for the school coordinator, and started socializing the program to the students for subsequent inscription in the clubs. Starting in 2016, there are forty participating schools, including fourteen new ones, as follows: Table 1.
