Zanzibar malaria control

PES covers the period 9/81-10/83 and is based on a special evaluation (XD-AAN-796-A). Action decisions are to: prepare a project paper amendment showing the revised inputs/outputs, end of project status, and implementation plan; base future procurement schedules on long-term and annual work plans approved by the Government of Zanzibar (GOZ) and procure no additional insecticides or drugs unless such plans are available and have been reviewed by A.I.D.; obtain specialized consultants from the World Health Organization and other external assistance services; send copies of major malaria control documents (e.g., annual reports, major GOZ malaria control work plans) to USAID/T, the Bureau for Africa Office of Technical Resources, and the Bureau for Science and Technology Office of Health; and institute a stock control card system for all project commodity activities.
