Abstract
Increasing use of agrochemicals, land use changes, and climate change are contributing to declining water quality and depletion of water supplies, threatening health and livelihoods and creating conflicts among water users throughout the basin. The case study highlights lessons learned and outcomes of SWP’s stakeholder driven process, including the formulation of key working groups, establishment of a River Basin Management Committee, and development of a strategic action plan.
