Clean Cities, Blue Ocean: Dominican Republic Marine Debris Strategy Report

It was prepared by the Jambeck Research Group under the Clean Cities, Blue Ocean Program and submitted to the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in September 2021. The report assesses the current state of waste management in the Dominican Republic, particularly in the Samaná Province, and provides recommendations for reducing marine debris and improving solid waste management practices. The report covers topics such as waste generation, collection, and disposal, as well as the impact of waste on the environment and human health. It also discusses the alignment of the Clean Cities, Blue Ocean Program with national and local policies and strategies for waste management and marine debris reduction.
