Abstract

The report provides an overview of the current status of solid waste management in Vietnam, including national laws and regulations, waste generation and characterization, collection and transportation, and waste treatment and disposal practices. The report also assesses the existing components of the 3Rs/SWM systems in four engagement sites in Vietnam: Biên Hòa, Da Nang, Huế, and Phú Quốc District. The report's objectives are to identify areas that need improvement, provide recommendations, and inform the program's work plan and local SWM plans for each engagement site.
