SLCDF Jaffna: Empowering Local Communities to Reduce Marine Plastic Pollution

The project focused on building the capacity of four local authorities and other stakeholders, including women and youth, to raise public awareness of sustainable solid waste management practices. Through technical assistance, public awareness campaigns, and community engagement, the project achieved significant results, including training over 14,000 community members, creating a youth-led initiative, and setting up environment clubs in schools.
