The document is a guide for conducting a multiple benefits assessment of low emissions development (LED) projects.
2020

Abstract
It provides a framework for assessing the socio-economic and environmental benefits of LED projects, including job creation, energy efficiency, greenhouse gas mitigation, and other environmental impacts. The guide outlines a four-step process for conducting a multiple benefits assessment, including defining the project scope and baseline, selecting specific impacts and indicators, assessing the indicators qualitatively and quantitatively, and applying the results to inform decision-making. The guide also provides examples from the South Africa Low Emissions Development (SA-LED) program to illustrate the application of the framework.
