Abstract
The report discusses the construction of a Couple Concordance Index (CCI) that measures the level of concordance between couples on demographics, family size preferences, knowledge resources, and empowerment and beliefs. The CCI is constructed using 12 indicators from Demographic and Health Surveys (DHS) from 65 countries. The report presents the results of the CCI for each country, with Ukraine having the highest score and Guinea having the lowest score of 0.08. The report also discusses the relationship between the CCI and modern contraceptive prevalence rate (mCPR) S-curve.
