The document is a report on the Strengthening Health Resilience Through Multisectoral Population, Health, and Environment (PHE) Programming in Tanzania project.
2023

Abstract
The report highlights the lessons learned from implementing an integrated PHE program in three biodiversity hotspots in Tanzania. The program aims to address the interconnected environmental challenges, including biodiversity loss, poor natural resource management, and climate change, which threaten the resilience of communities. The report presents the results of three specific interventions: Model Households/Boma Initiative, First-Time Parents program, and Community Conservation Microfinance Groups. These interventions aim to promote positive PHE behaviors, improve health outcomes, and strengthen health resilience capacities at individual, household, and community levels. The report also highlights the impact of the project on environmental protection, respecting and complying with natural resource regulations, and civic participation.
