Abstract
It summarizes the discussions, opportunities, and lessons learned from a virtual consultation with over 100 stakeholders from six countries, including Bangladesh, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ghana, Malawi, Mozambique, and Kyrgyz Republic. The consultation aimed to understand the complexity of challenges and opportunities in integrating nutrition into initial health professional training. The document presents five key recommendations to improve the nutritional content of initial training, including strengthening collaboration among stakeholders, ensuring nutrition content is aligned with policies and job descriptions, and leveraging regional and international knowledge to fill gaps. The document emphasizes the importance of quality nutrition training for healthcare professionals to provide quality nutrition services to communities.
