Frontline Nutrition Services: Roles, Responsibilities, and Initial Training (December 2022)

It is a report by USAID Advancing Nutrition, a multi-sectoral project led by JSI Research & Training Institute, Inc. (JSI). The report analyzes the initial training landscape of certain health workers in Bangladesh, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Ghana, Malawi, and the Kyrgyz Republic. It aims to identify the frontline health workers responsible for providing nutrition services, their roles and responsibilities, and the nutrition skills covered in their initial training programs. The report highlights the need for investment in initial training to improve nutrition services and provides recommendations for governments, professional associations, and donors to consider when revising initial training programs.
