Desk Review on Health Systems Approaches to Support Wasting Reduction (Technical Brief)

The review aims to answer learning question 2 of the USAID Advancing Nutrition's learning plan on wasting, which explores the effectiveness of integrating different packages of interventions, such as integrated community case management, community-based management of acute malnutrition, integrated management of childhood illness, and growth monitoring and promotion, in reducing wasting prevalence. The brief provides an overview of the desk review methods, including a search of the 2021 Lancet Series on Maternal and Child Undernutrition and a Google Scholar search, to identify interventions and packages with strong evidence of effectiveness.
