The guide also covers infection prevention and control measures, such as hand hygiene, use of personal protective equipment, and cleaning and disinfection of surfaces and equipment. It provides guidance on how to care for infants and young children who are suspected or confirmed to have COVID-19, including how to manage their symptoms and provide supportive care. Additionally, the guide provides information on how to prepare and feed infant formula safely, and how to introduce complementary foods to infants and young children. Overall, the guide aims to provide healthcare providers and caregivers with the knowledge and skills they need to care for infants and young children during the COVID-19 pandemic, while minimizing the risk of transmission of the virus.
