This poster, titled Use of Household Consumption and Expenditure Survey Data to Predict Quality of the Diet and Potential Strategies to Fill Micronutrient Gaps, was produced for the 2020 Micronutrient Forum.
2020

Abstract
It presents research on using household consumption and expenditure survey data to predict diet quality and identify strategies to fill micronutrient gaps in Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua. The study analyzed data from these countries to estimate micronutrient inadequacy, identify main food sources, and determine potential vehicles for food fortification. The findings suggest that household consumption and expenditure survey data can be used to predict micronutrient gaps, identify main micronutrient sources, and explore potential fortification vehicles. The poster also provides recommendations for further research and potential fortification strategies.
