Abstract
The project, supported by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), involved collaborating with local communities to identify and prioritize locally available iron- and vitamin A-rich foods, and to develop food-based recommendations that are feasible and acceptable to the communities. The poster highlights the importance of contextualizing food-based recommendations, presents the methodology used, and shares the results of the project, including the identification of 18 foods rich in vitamin A and iron, and the willingness of caregivers and pregnant and lactating women to incorporate these foods into their diets.
