Abstract
The presentation, titled MINIMOD: Tools for Identifying Effective and Cost-Effective Micronutrient Interventions, was given at a USAID Advancing Nutrition Webinar on February 19, 2020. The authors are from the University of California, Davis, and the UC Davis Institute for Global Nutrition. The presentation discusses the motivation for developing MINIMOD, its objectives and framework, and its components, including a cost model, nutrition needs and benefits model, and an economic optimization model. It also explains how MINIMOD estimates program benefits, costs, and cost-effectiveness, and how it can be used to identify the most cost-effective set of intervention programs.
