Abstract
It highlights the importance of optimal infant and young child feeding (IYCF) practices, including exclusive breastfeeding and timely introduction of complementary foods, to prevent stunting and malnutrition. The document also presents findings from a study on IYCF practices in Egypt, identifying common feeding problems faced by mothers, such as lack of knowledge and reliance on junk foods, and provides guidance on how healthcare providers can counsel mothers to improve their IYCF practices.
