Abstract

The study examines how land access and natural resource management policies, institutions, and relationships are changing in ASALs, and the consequences for livelihoods, food security, and nutritional status. It provides an overview of natural resource management in drylands, highlighting the importance of sustainable access to land and natural resources for dryland livelihoods. The brief also identifies gaps in the literature and suggests areas for future research and programming.
