Women's Knowledge on Child Malnutrition in Isiolo County, Kenya

It presents the results of a participatory analysis of the causes and seasonality of malnutrition in Borana children and mothers in Cherab and Chari wards, Merti sub-county in Isiolo County. The report aims to identify contextually relevant and appropriate interventions to inform the Nawiri project, which seeks to sustainably reduce levels of persistent acute malnutrition in Kenya's arid and semi-arid lands (ASALs). The report explores the causes and seasonality of malnutrition from the perspective of mothers living in the two selected wards, using participatory epidemiology (PE) methods, including a monthly calendar and a causal diagram.
