Action memorandum for the Assistant Administrator, ANE [West Bank/Gaza - agricultural cooperative development international proposal : cooperative development on the West Bank and Gaza]

ACDI will establish an office with two U.S. cooperative experts and two local support staff in East Jersualem to serve as a focal point for the provision of TA and in-country and overseas management training; this training will be institutionalized either by creating a program within an existing training institute or by establishing an independent cooperative training facility for the West Bank and Gaza. A third cooperative expert will be added in the second or third years to develop and implement a training program. ACDI will also establish a committee to coordinate subproject efforts with other donors involved in cooperative development in the region (e.g., AMIDEAST, ANERA, Catholic Relief Services).
