Grant to CARE to strengthen the rural community development program of the Haitian-American Community Help Organization (HACHO), a semi-public, regional organization responsible for multisectoral development activities in northwest Haiti.

Abstract

CARE will provide HACHO with the technical and managerial expertise and the various commodities it needs to implement its activities and services in health, capital development, road construction, family planning, agriculture, and literacy. Specifically funded are two administrative advisors and a field operations advisor; procurement of medical supplies, vehicles, and other equipment and supplies; and financial management and disbursement of A.I.D. funds provided for the HACHO program.
