Abstract
University staff and specialists will provide a wide range of services to parliamentarians, lawyers, national population councils, public policy groups, and other groups. These services will include: (1) support for conferences, committees, and study tours on population policy and law; (2) provision of information on existing international legislation and of technical assistance in reviewing and developing new legislation; (3) subcontracts aimed at developing indigenous private, policy-oriented groups concerned with reforms in population law; and (4) preparation of brief occasional reports on topics of special interest. The project will be active in all A.I.D. regions, but will concentrate on those countries where project efforts are most likely to result in the establishment of indigenous legislative groups.
