Abstract
The PC will: foster or support ongoing research by Asian scholars and collaborative U.S.-Asian research on the social, economic, and cultural determinants of fertility; conduct policy roundtables and technical workshops for Asian researchers and interested LDC policymakers on country-specific determinants of fertility and sector-specific factors influencing the demand for family planning services in Asia; undertake a publications program to disseminate information to Asian researchers and policymakers; and provide leadership and guidance to Asian program planners and policymakers, including USAID"s.
