Grant is provided under the Matching Grants to PVOs project (9380158) to the Domestic and Foreign Missionary Society of the Protestant Episcopal Church USA (PECUSA) to develop the capabilities of its partner Anglican churches in selected African countries to plan and manage local development activities.

Abstract
PECUSA"s activities will address the twin development needs of technical capabilities and funding. In the 18 dioceses and two provinces in the Anglican communion in Africa, PECUSA will: (1) select and train development coordinators; (2) train personnel in planning and managing community-based development programs; (3) provide training and assistance in accessing funds from international donors; (4) provide TA in long-range project planning, implementation, and financial management; and (5) fund grants for local development initiatives through which church personnel will gain experience in the management of such instruments.
