Abstract
Specifically, NCBA will: (1) promote private cooperative business organizations through TA and training projects; (2) enhance its organizational capacity by adding a full-time home-office position in research and evaluation, opening a regional office in West Africa, expanding its activities in Asia, developing an intern program for African counterparts, and exploring sustainability issues by continuing contact with two mature or nearly mature indigenous organizations (a training center in Rwanda and a workers" co-op in Niger); (3) enhance available resources by developing a co-op to co-op program, educating U.S. members about international development, and searching out new funding sources; and (4) provide TA in such areas as policy analysis, privatization, food aid monetization projects, gender analysis, and internatonal co-op trade.
