Abstract
Countries initially approved for support under the project include Guatemala, Kenya, Panama, Philippines, Thailand, and Zimbabwe. First, the project will provide local overseas YMCA personnel with management training and TA and with technical training in skills needed for community development efforts. Second, the project will strengthen the capacities of local YMCAs to implement educational programs, with emphasis on vocational/technical training, and in rural areas on training farmers in agricultural skills, focusing on improving subsistence production.
