AID cooperative agreement no. PDC-3400-A-00-6203-00 with Land O" Lakes, Inc. for linking dairy products with development

(LOL) to support private sector dairy development in the Third World and to expand the market for surplus U.S. dairy products. Both agribusiness and cooperative dairy projects will be supported by LOL and all projects will incorporate the use of surplus U.S. dairy products. LOL will act as a U.S. contact point and source of expertise that can be drawn upon for prefeasibility, feasibility, and design studies of proposed dairy projects, and for operational TA and training in approved projects. To this end, an inventory of U.S. dairy experts will be developed early on. The related fixed and capital requirements of the dairy projects in which LOL is involved may be financed through monetization of Section 416 and Title II 480 dairy commodities, Mission funding, local sources, or other donors.
