Grant is provided under the Program Development and Support Project (5190167) to the Inter-American Institute for Agriculture Cooperation (IICA) to conduct studies in support of the legal and institutional reorganization of El Salvador"s Center for Agricultural Technology (CENTA).

Abstract
IICA will prepare: (1) a draft law to be presented to the Legislative Assembly for the reorganization of CENTA, along with an accompanying strategic support document; (2) a document identifying the priority areas for agricultural and forestry research and technology transfer; (3) a model for the proposed reorganization of CENTA and a summary of funding needs and sources; and (4) a work plan for the reorganized CENTA. IICA will also conduct a workshop for representatives of the agricultural sector to discuss the draft law and the other documents.
