Grant is provided under the Support to Tertiary Education Project (6740309) in South Africa to Planned Route into Science and Math (PRISM), a South African NGO, to support its program of providing black South Africans with "second chance" education in science and mathematics so that they may qualify for entry into tertiary institutions or may pursue careers in fields requiring strong math and science backgrounds.

Abstract
The grant will enable PRISM to: improve its existing program, which provides academic support, individual remedial assistance, and personal and career counseling; increase enrollment in Umlazi; and expand the program into KwaMashu, another large black low-income community, located in Durban.
