Abstract
ARC and LRC will rehabilitate the 32 LRC dispensaries not rehabilitated under an FY1992 USAID grant, close all non cost-effective dispensaries, and develop six new pilot facilities -- regional health centers from which mobile and satellite services will be provided. The six centers will be established in each of the six Lebanese regions (Beirut, Mount Lebanon, South Lebanon, Nabatiyeh, North Lebanon, and the Bekaa). (The Norwegian Red Cross will support the establishment of mobile clinics in North Lebanon and the Bekaa.) Finally, to consolidate and sustain the current management development program at LRC headquarters and extend it to the regions, training courses in management and information will be held for regional staff and volunteers to integrate regional branches into the LRC"s new reorganization plan.
